Our 6th Anniversary!

As announced on last night's PMlessonsLearned.com PM Best Practice call, today is the 6 year anniversary of our first conference call that started it all.

We are Project Managers helping Project Managers to make a difference!

Today we have 2156 members in our yahoo group, hundreds in our linkedin.com group, tens of thousands of podcast downloads, yet our group, that relies entirely on volunteers, has lost most of the volunteers and may need to cut back on our services (which are all freely provided to everyone).

We are considering a suggestion by a member last night that we have a call in the near future to let folks know about the volunteer positions we need to fill. Keep watching for further information.

In the meantime, if you want to see these calls continued to be offered, here are our most critical needs below.

We have training for all of these positions, so you need no prior experience, just an internet connection and the desire to learn.

1. Podcast editors - we have training for you on how to use the open source software
2. Podcast testers - you check that the podcast was done correctly before it is published
3. Podcast coordinator - coordinate the podcast editors, testers, and publishing
4. Speaker Coordinators: Contacting potential speakers and coordinating getting them set up once they agree to speak
5. Call host - you host and coordinate the call with the speaker who does the presentation
6. Podcast Publisher - you publish the podcast on the internet when it's ready to publish
7. Promoting our programs in various places (online) - we will help you with this
