David Anderson is an accomplished Project Management Professional with extensive experience providing IT services worldwide. He has worked in diverse business environments, including the Educational Testing Service, Interpool LTD, (a multi-national intermodal transportation company,) The Franklin Mint, C N A Insurance, Infomed (a home health care system provider), The City of Philadelphia, and The State of New Jersey.
While working at The Educational Testing Service, he directed the Y2k renovation of all legacy systems and provided maintenance services for software on a variety of platforms, using technical resources in five locations on three different continents. He also led the effort to engineer an automated documentation tool for legacy systems, selected software engineering tools for use in the Y2k effort, and built a database to support disability accommodations for the major ETS testing programs.
At Interpool, he served as a database administrator, Quality Assurance Manager, and finally, Director of Programming. He directed the development of software and hardware infrastructure that allowed Interpool, a multi-national company with limited resources, to use its data collection and verification processes as a competitive advantage in the very competitive market for container leasing.
Mr. Anderson has a BA in English from Rutgers New Brunswick, and an MBA from Rider University. He holds the PMP designation, as well as the MCP and CPCU designations. He lives with his wife Hope in Pennington, New Jersey. They have a daughter Caroline in graduate school and a son, David, who is a junior in college
On Thursday night, David will share lessons learned while using off-site and off-shore resources for both maintenance and development projects, and the lessons learned developing applications for remote locations.
