"Beat 'em with a STICK: how to win the game of project management politics"

The lotteries tell us "you can't win if you don't play" and the same holds true for project politics. You cannot succeed if you think you can avoid or ignore the politics. However, politics does not have to be negative. Politics, the process by which groups of people make collective decisions, ensures that a project has the best chance of success whether it is a traditional PMBOK-managed effort or an agile self-organizing team. We'll explore the game of politics and use the acronym STICK as a guideline to political success.
