Dial-in: (605) 990-0700 Access Code: 635 505# (Note: Long distance charges may apply per your service arrangement.)

Our moderator is Steve Delaney (www.htpartners.com) and (
http://www.linkedin.com/in/psdelaney); After 17 years of project management consulting, as a PMP since 2000, I turned to the “dark side” in 2005 when I became another one of those darn IT recruiters - specializing in certified IT professionals across all industries, and all geographical regions of the US. Nearly all of my placements are on-site contract, contract-to-hire, or direct permanent employment. I work out of my office in Chicago but have clients in the NJ/NY area including Sony, Pepsico and several Pharmaceutical companies. My circle of influence includes a large private network of recruiters as well as several professional associations and social networks.

My wife Pam and I are empty nester’s with two grown boys and two girls. (Our favorite conversation goes like “We aren’t doing anything this weekend are we? - Good”) Most recent academic pursuits include a return to Moody Bible Institute in preparation for a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS)

JOBSHOP CALL LANDS JOB FOR LISTENER!

It's time to celebrate!

The JOB SHOP Call has already reached it's first GOAL!

One of the listeners on our very first JOB SHOP conference call (just 4 weeks ago on June 28,2007) is already working at a job he landed as a result of that first JOB SHOP call!

Topic: "The Other PM: The real-life story of integrating Process Management with Project Management. Doing More with Less”

Lessons Learned – Process Management
Warmup question: Have you ever seen a process being too light or too heavy and how can you tell the difference?

* Barbara surveyed people outside the team to get their perceptions, then worked to correct processes in order to make a better impression
* Helped PMs to see that their cookie cutter approach was too rigid and heavy of processes – example: weekly meetings turned into stand up meetings and each meeting needed a goal, agenda and time to complete
* They made better estimations so that their “stakeholders” could send more projects their way.
* She started a PMO without any funds by networking the PMs
